Senior Software Engineer

Job Summary

As a full-time remote Senior Software Engineer on the Scheduling team, the candidate will design, build, and evolve scalable software solutions for emergency response personnel while collaborating closely with product managers and fellow engineers to enhance platform reliability and drive engineering excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and support scalable full-stack applications and services
• Maintain and modernize the PHP-based Scheduling application, ensuring reliability and performance
• Contribute to application architecture with a focus on scalability, maintainability, security, and performance

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, with substantial depth in PHP
• 3+ years working in a modern PHP MVC framework
• Proficiency with JavaScript/TypeScript and experience with SPA development using Angular or React
• Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS) and cloud-native architectures
