Senior Software Engineer
Job Summary
Providing contractor support services for the Naval Supply Systems Command, the full-time salaried Senior Software Engineer/Developer will focus on system modernization, application development, and integration testing while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Provide engineering expertise for the design, development, and implementation of IT solutions to enhance system performance
- Develop and maintain software applications, including coding and modifying existing programs in support of system modernization
- Analyze user needs and software requirements to recommend and plan new application development or modifications
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a technical major such as engineering or computer science, or equivalent experience
- Experience with Java 8 or higher, JavaScript, SQL, Oracle databases, .NET, and C#
- Required IAM Level I certification (CompTIA Security +)
- Minimum of 5 years of work experience in modern software development and DevOps practices
- Strong knowledge of security principles and best practices, along with experience in government or DoD environments
