Senior Software Engineer
Job Summary
As a full-time Senior Software Engineer on the Stablecoin team, the candidate will build and scale Coinbase Custom Stablecoins, focusing on backend engineering and smart contract development while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a remote-first environment.
Key responsibilities
- Own and evolve smart contracts for minting, burning, and safeguarding custom stablecoin supply
- Build and scale backend services for onboarding, issuance, reserve accounting, and rewards distribution
- Drive architectural decisions balancing security, scalability, and speed of delivery
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering with production backend services
- Experience writing, testing, and deploying smart contracts in production
- Comfort with service-oriented architecture and end-to-end service ownership
- Knowledge of security and correctness tradeoffs in onchain systems
- Familiarity with Golang and onchain fundamentals, with experience in DeFi or stablecoin infrastructure preferred
