Senior Software Engineer
Job Summary
To build and scale Coinbase Custom Stablecoins, the full-time Senior Software Engineer will own smart contracts and backend services for issuance, reserves, and rewards distribution, collaborating with cross-functional teams in a remote-first environment.
Key responsibilities
- Own and evolve smart contracts for minting, burning, and safeguarding custom stablecoin supply
- Build and scale backend services for onboarding, issuance, reserve accounting, and rewards distribution
- Drive architectural decisions balancing security, scalability, and delivery speed across backend and smart contract surfaces
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering with a focus on production backend services
- Experience in writing, testing, and deploying smart contracts (Solidity or similar EVM languages) in production
- Comfort with service ownership and composing service-oriented architecture at scale
- Knowledge of security and correctness tradeoffs unique to onchain systems
- Familiarity with Golang and onchain fundamentals, with experience in DeFi or stablecoin infrastructure preferred
