Senior Software Engineer
Job Summary
To enhance the developer experience for backend engineers, the full-time remote Senior Software Engineer will build next-gen build systems, improve CI/CD tooling integrations, and shape technical strategies that drive developer productivity and operational excellence.
Key responsibilities
- Build and enhance the next-generation build system using modern technologies like Bazel
- Integrate the build system with CI/CD tools, focusing on merge queues, code coverage, and integration testing
- Collaborate with engineering leaders to promote the adoption of new capabilities across Airbnb teams
Required qualifications
- 6+ years of industry experience in software engineering
- Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- Proficiency in one or more back-end server languages (Java, Ruby, Go, C++, etc.)
- Experience with build systems and large monorepos, particularly with Bazel
- Familiarity with architectural patterns for high-scale distributed products/services
