Senior Software Engineer
Job Summary
To contribute to the design and development of AI/HPC communication middleware, the full-time Senior Software Engineer will focus on enabling and optimizing middleware capabilities, collaborating across various teams, and contributing to open-source projects while working remotely from Costa Rica.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and optimize features for HPC and AI middleware, including collective communication libraries
- Assist in integrating middleware capabilities with underlying transport layers
- Prepare and submit upstream contributions to MPI/SHMEM projects and CCL ecosystems
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in systems programming in C/C++ on Linux; Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Hands-on experience with HPC middleware internals or optimizing collective communications for AI
- Demonstrated ability to deliver low-latency/high-throughput communication paths
- Working knowledge of transport/integration layers such as OFI/libfabric and UCX
- Solid background in RDMA concepts and performance tuning
