Senior Software Engineer
Job Summary
Leading the design, development, and implementation of applications, the full-time Senior Software Engineer will work remotely to perform complex software analysis, coding, testing, and debugging while mentoring junior engineers and collaborating with project stakeholders.
Key responsibilities
- Lead a team in the technical design, coding, and testing of new applications and enhancements, ensuring compliance with development practices
- Identify gaps in requirements, evaluate risks, and implement solutions to improve system performance and availability
- Support project management as the technical lead, estimating project costs and defining system designs based on client requirements
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science, or 4 additional years of relevant work experience in lieu of a degree
- 5 years of experience in software development, including architecture/design and user requirements definition
- Proficiency in Java and experience with microservices architecture, REST, and SOAP APIs
- Experience with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Familiarity with cloud technologies, particularly AWS and Azure
