Senior Software Engineer
Job Summary
To support the Developer Experience organization, the full-time Senior Software Engineer will enhance GitHub's build and continuous integration systems, collaborating with various teams to improve reliability and performance while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Collaborate with engineering teams and stakeholders to identify and solve critical problems
- Drive technical solutions and provide design guidance to unblock others, facilitating effective communication across teams
- Iteratively ship features and bug fixes while balancing speed to market with future development velocity
Required qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in Software Engineering or related discipline, with proven skills in production software coding using languages such as C, C++, Java, or Python
- Associate's, Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree in a relevant technical field or equivalent experience
- Experience with CI/CD platforms and developer tooling in a large-scale environment
- Strong understanding of secure and resilient systems architecture
- Ability to work effectively in a remote, distributed team setting
