Senior Software Engineer

Job Summary

Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Senior Software Engineer will design, build, and maintain scalable back-end systems for insurance analytics applications while collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain extensible back-end services and web applications focused on architecture, scalability, and reliability
• Participate in technical design discussions and perform code reviews to ensure code quality and alignment with engineering standards
• Collaborate with product, data science, and machine learning partners to develop solutions that meet business needs

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field with 7+ years of relevant hands-on industry experience, or a Master's degree with 4+ years, or a PhD with 2+ years of experience
• Expertise in Python and SQL, alongside proficiency in other scripting languages such as Ruby
• Demonstrated proficiency in artificial intelligence concepts and experience using AI tools to enhance operational efficiency
• Strong ability to design and implement high-quality, scalable back-end code solutions
• Proven adaptability in learning new programming languages, tools, and technology stacks based on business needs
