Senior Software Engineer
Job Summary
Driving complex technical projects, the full-time Senior Software Engineer will work remotely to enhance the reliability and performance of Vanta's Test Core platform, designing backend systems and mentoring other engineers.
Key responsibilities
- Own complex projects from problem definition and technical design through implementation, rollout, and operation
- Design and evolve backend systems, APIs, and data models for running Tests and processing results
- Investigate production issues, identify root causes, and implement durable solutions
Required qualifications
- Strong experience in building and operating reliable, scalable backend systems in production
- Independently delivered complex technical projects with undefined problems or solutions
- Strong systems thinking and fundamentals in backend system design, APIs, and data modeling
- Experience with TypeScript, GraphQL, and MongoDB is a plus
- Open to using AI to enhance skills and improve work efficiency
