Senior Software Engineer
Job Summary
Designing and operating services for a next-generation tolling and intelligent transportation platform, the full-time Senior Software Engineer will take ownership of the entire development lifecycle, from design to production, while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Design event-driven microservices for a multi-tenant SaaS platform, including API contracts and data schemas
- Build high-throughput transaction-processing services using modern strongly typed languages and implement event sourcing patterns
- Lead and mentor junior engineers while driving cross-team technical initiatives and aligning architecture across services
Required qualifications
- BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent work experience
- Senior level: 5+ years; Staff level: 8+ years of professional software engineering experience with a track record of technical leadership
- Experience with distributed backend systems in production, particularly in event-driven or high-volume transaction processing
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms and containerized deployment on Kubernetes
- Proficiency in Linux environments and familiarity with payments or intelligent transportation systems preferred
