Job Summary
To enhance the performance and reliability of data storage systems, the remote Senior Software Engineer II will design and implement high-quality solutions, manage projects independently, and collaborate with cross-functional teams while participating in production support and on-call rotations.
Key responsibilities
- Design and implement solutions for Honeycomb's query and data storage infrastructure
- Scope and deliver projects independently, taking ownership from design to production support
- Collaborate with Product Management and engineering teams to align technical solutions with product needs
Required qualifications
- Expertise in Go programming and experience with high-throughput or complex systems
- Technical leadership in storage and querying, including database engineering experience
- Strong mentorship skills, guiding engineers through code reviews and knowledge sharing
- Deep debugging expertise with a proven ability to resolve complex production issues
- Curiosity and a focus on business outcomes, connecting technical decisions to customer impact
