Senior Software Engineer
Job Summary
To support Alpaca's growth in new markets, the remote Senior Software Engineer will design, implement, and maintain scalable brokerage systems while mentoring team members and ensuring operational reliability during regional business hours.
Key responsibilities:
- Design and develop a highly scalable brokerage system and enhance middle- and back-office systems
- Collaborate with core teams to transform the framework for multi-language and multi-currency support
- Act as incident commander, troubleshooting issues to maintain system integrity and performance
Required qualifications:
- Proficiency in Go or similar backend languages with experience in system architecture design
- Strong computer science fundamentals and proven software engineering experience
- Ability to work independently in a fully remote, globally distributed team
- Experience with event-driven design and strategic thinking in technical contexts
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with global teams and stakeholders
