Senior Software Engineer
Job Summary
Seeking a full-time Senior Software Engineer to work remotely, this position focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining software for the National Geospatial Intelligence Agency's Terminal Instrument Procedures (TERPS) production mission, contributing to modern cloud-deployable capabilities for processing complex geospatial data.
Key responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and enhance software to support NGA's TERPS production mission
- Develop web-based application functionality, APIs, and database integrations while supporting Agile development practices
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide technical guidance to less experienced engineers
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 10 years of experience or a Master's degree with 7 years of experience in a related field
- Strong software development experience with modern programming languages, frameworks, and database technologies
- Experience in developing microservices and cloud-based applications
- Proficiency with Git-based source control and CI/CD pipelines
- Experience working within Agile software development teams
