Senior Software Engineer
Job Summary
Joining a dynamic Growth team, the full-time remote Senior Software Engineer will design and build backend services and internal tooling to enhance customer experiences, optimize marketing effectiveness, and support the luxury resale catalog.
Key responsibilities
- Design, build, and ship backend services for item creation, enrichment, and merchandising workflows
- Produce high-quality, secure, and testable code while influencing technical decisions on architecture and delivery
- Collaborate with product, design, and engineering leadership to clarify requirements and balance customer needs with technical constraints
Required qualifications
- 3-5+ years of software engineering experience
- Experience building production-ready web applications and backend systems with a focus on reliability and security
- Proficiency in Java, Kotlin, Elixir, Ruby, or JavaScript, with a readiness to work on JVM services
- Familiarity with event-based architectures, event streaming (e.g., Kafka), and database fundamentals
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
