Senior Software Engineer

Job Summary

Owning the design and operation of Kubernetes cluster management tooling, the full-time Senior Software Engineer will enhance compute orchestration infrastructure remotely, enabling hundreds of engineers to deploy and operate critical services while collaborating with Security, Reliability, and Observability teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate Kubernetes cluster management tooling and automation for a reliable and self-healing compute platform
• Develop developer-facing tooling and workflows that integrate AI-driven processes to improve interactions with Kubernetes
• Deliver new compute capabilities for service owners, focusing on automation, operational excellence, and incident response improvement

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 3 years in Kubernetes or similar compute orchestration systems
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Go, Python, or Java, with experience in production-grade infrastructure services
• Hands-on experience with AWS and/or GCP infrastructure services in a production environment
• Demonstrated ability to design and operate distributed infrastructure systems and resolve complex failures
• Experience with the CNCF ecosystem and applying AI tooling to improve infrastructure workflows
