Senior Software Engineer
Job Summary
Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Senior Software Engineer on the AI Platform will independently tackle complex engineering challenges, develop reusable platform capabilities, and ensure secure and reliable AI integration across Root's products.
Key responsibilities
- Build services and developer tools to facilitate safe and reliable AI use within Root teams
- Transform early demand into durable platform capabilities, including AWS infrastructure and AI system operations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish technical standards and improve the developer experience
Required qualifications
- 4+ years of experience as a software engineer
- Proven ability to deliver complex software or infrastructure projects independently and with high quality
- Experience with cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS, and infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform
- Strong understanding of DevOps practices, including automation and secure delivery
- Familiarity with AI/LLM application patterns and responsible usage
