Senior Software Engineer
Job Summary
Working remotely, the full-time Senior Software Engineer will contribute to the development of scalable applications for federal clients, focusing on backend systems while mentoring junior engineers and driving improvements in software engineering processes.
Key responsibilities:
- Demonstrate expertise and ownership of application code bases while coordinating integrations with adjacent technical systems
- Diagnose and resolve system issues, leveraging incidents for educational opportunities and improvements
- Mentor junior engineers and communicate technical developments effectively with team members and clients
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree with at least 8 years of experience in developing systems and applications for Federal clients
- Experience with enterprise-level, high-availability application development and object-oriented design patterns
- Proficiency in JavaScript frameworks such as React.js, Angular, and Node.js
- Hands-on experience with cloud computing platforms (Cloud Foundry, Azure, or AWS) and continuous integration/deployment tools like Jenkins
- Strong database skills, preferably with Oracle or SQL Server, and experience in developing/consuming Web Services (REST, SOAP, JSON)
