Senior Software Engineer
Job Summary
Focused on enhancing patient care, the full-time Senior Software Engineer on the Virtual Care Platform will manage production reliability and support issues, develop new features in Ruby on Rails, and empower support teams through automation and documentation in a remote setting.
Key responsibilities
- Serve as the primary engineering response for production and support issues, triaging and resolving critical patient-impacting problems
- Diagnose and fix bugs within a mature Ruby on Rails codebase, ensuring safe live production data edits
- Enhance the admin portal and build diagnostic tools to enable self-service for support and implementation teams
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a focus on production systems
- Deep expertise in Ruby on Rails, including experience with large codebases and live data changes
- Strong debugging skills and experience in production troubleshooting
- U.S. residency required for production console access and handling of PHI
- Experience in operating production SaaS environments with a focus on reliability and operational practices
