Senior Software Engineer
Job Summary
Seeking a motivated and experienced Senior Software Engineer II for a full-time remote position within the United States, this role will serve as the technical lead for maintenance and long-term clients, ensuring their digital platforms are performant, secure, and strategically aligned with their goals.
Key responsibilities
- Serve as the technical lead and primary technical advocate for clients, providing strategic guidance and proactive maintenance
- Develop and maintain websites using modern WordPress and other CMS solutions, while troubleshooting complex technical challenges
- Mentor engineers within the working group, coordinate task assignments, and support quality standards through code reviews
Required qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in web development and 2 years in a client-facing role within an agency setting
- Advanced proficiency in web development technologies: HTML5, SCSS/CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript, PHP, Node.js, and React.js
- Extensive experience with modern WordPress development, including custom block development and headless architectures
- Strong knowledge of SysAdmins and DevOps practices, including web servers, DNS, CDNs, and security management
- Proven track record in building and deploying applications using CI/CD pipelines and hosting platforms
