Job Summary
To enhance software development efficiency, the full-time hybrid Senior Software Engineer on the Developer Platform team will design scalable architecture and tools, provide technical leadership, and implement AI-driven solutions to optimize processes for engineers at Zip.
Key responsibilities
- Lead initiatives to ensure new features are performant and reliable, creating innovative frameworks for testing challenges
- Accelerate software development by driving the adoption of AI-driven tools across various stages of the development lifecycle
- Diagnose and remove friction in development environments, testing patterns, CI pipelines, and deployment processes to boost productivity
Required qualifications
- 4+ years of software engineering experience
- BS or higher in Computer Science or a related technical field (e.g., physics or math)
- Experience with modern CI tools such as GitHub, GitLab, Buildkite, Jenkins, and Docker
- Strong ownership mindset with attention to detail
- Ability to diagnose obstacles, debug friction, and drive velocity
