Senior Software Engineer
Job Summary
To support the Naval Research Lab, the part-time Senior Software Engineer will design, develop, implement, and maintain software for complex maritime systems, ensuring data integrity and optimizing performance in a fully remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Design and implement software solutions for maritime systems processing intelligence data
- Ensure data integrity and optimize performance across platforms
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support development planning and implementation
Required qualifications
- BS in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with 10-12 years of software engineering experience; MS with 8-10 years; PhD with 5-7 years
- Minimum DoD TS/SCI (eligible) security clearance
- Proficiency in multiple programming languages such as Java, Python, C++, JavaScript, Ruby, and/or Motif
- Strong understanding of software development principles and best practices
- Experience with front-end and back-end development for Linux systems
