Senior Software Engineer
Job Summary
Owning the technical design and execution for core components of a distributed tracing platform, the full-time Senior Software Engineer will tackle multi-petabyte scale challenges and optimize low-latency infrastructure while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Design and implement core components of the distributed tracing platform using technologies like ClickHouse and Grafana Tempo
- Drive engineering excellence and mentor team members in best practices for distributed systems
- Address challenges related to data ingestion, storage, and query performance for observability AI
Required qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in software development engineering
- 4+ years of experience in designing and operating complex distributed system architectures
- 5+ years of programming experience in at least two languages such as Java, Go, Scala, or Python
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred
- Strong understanding of distributed systems principles and experience with technologies like Kafka, Spark, and ClickHouse
