Senior Software Engineer
Job Summary
To optimize and scale the Instacart platform, the full-time remote Senior Software Engineer will design, build, and implement software solutions focused on fulfillment operations while leveraging innovative technologies and AI toolsets.
Key responsibilities
- Develop highly scalable software and ensure proper protocols for rapid upgrades and new features
- Analyze and optimize SQL queries, conducting performance analysis and troubleshooting of current systems
- Determine design solutions for programming challenges and propose new systems to enhance delivery and operational excellence
Required qualifications
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or foreign equivalent), or a Bachelor's degree with 5 years of progressive experience
- 2 years of experience in software engineering or a related role
- 2 years of experience with programming languages such as Java, Ruby, or Python
- 2 years of experience with data management systems like MySQL or PostgreSQL
- 2 years of experience employing advanced AI toolsets in development processes
