Senior Software Engineer
Job Summary
Driving innovation in a remote environment, the full-time Senior Software Engineer will lead technical initiatives for Documents and Customs services, collaborating with stakeholders to design and implement complex software solutions while mentoring other engineers and improving engineering processes.
Key responsibilities
- Analyze customer and business requirements to create detailed technical designs and solutions
- Leverage AI-assisted development tools to enhance productivity and code quality while ensuring secure programming practices
- Mentor and coach other engineers, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement in engineering practices
Required qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in developing and supporting commercial software using modern programming languages such as .NET Core, C#, and TypeScript
- Experience with thin-client development including HTML/CSS and JavaScript frameworks
- Proficient in using AI-assisted development tools and understanding their impact on software delivery
- Strong background in relational and non-relational databases, including schema design and performance optimization
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
