Senior Software Engineer
Job Summary
Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Senior Software Engineer will take ownership of the design, review, and outcome of projects, collaborating closely with product managers and engineering leads to ensure successful deployment and stability of applications.
Key responsibilities
- Transform loose briefs into shipped and stable solutions, overseeing the entire process from design to production
- Make architectural decisions within a mature PHP codebase and React/Next.js front end, determining where to extend or refactor
- Review AI-generated code critically, ensuring quality and correctness before integration into production
Required qualifications
- 6+ years of experience building and shipping production web applications at a senior level
- Deep expertise in at least one domain or system, with the ability to explain architectural trade-offs
- Strong capability in full-stack development, particularly in PHP/Laravel and React/TypeScript
- Experience working with AI tools and understanding their limitations
- Located on the East Coast (US), preferably in or near Charleston, SC
