Senior Software Engineer
Job Summary
As a full-time Senior Software Engineer on the Data Platform team, the candidate will design, develop, and operate foundational data services while working remotely to enhance data accessibility and processing across the organization.
Key responsibilities:
- Own the design and operation of data services including cloud data warehouses, data lakes, and orchestration tools
- Build and maintain data integration SDKs for reliable interaction with the data platform across internal services
- Deliver self-service applications for users to manage and monitor their data pipelines effectively
Required qualifications:
- 5+ years of backend software engineering experience with a focus on data systems or pipelines in production
- Proficiency in Python, Go, or Java for backend development
- Experience with data infrastructure patterns and frameworks such as SQL, Airflow, Spark, and Kafka
- Hands-on experience with data security, access control, and observability systems
- Ability to utilize generative AI responsibly to improve workflow efficiency and quality
