Senior Software Engineer
Job Summary
Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Senior Software Engineer will build and enhance SpiceDB and other open-source projects, tackling complex challenges in distributed systems and cloud infrastructure while ensuring high-quality software development practices.
Key responsibilities
- Research, design, implement, test, and release features across SpiceDB and the AuthZed open-source ecosystem
- Drive best practices in software development, testing, and CI/CD to maintain a robust and scalable platform
- Take end-to-end ownership of development and deployment processes, participating in on-call rotations for production operations
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience with programming languages such as Golang, Python, or Java, with a preference for Go
- Strong background in systems engineering, particularly in distributed systems and databases
- Experience managing complex production systems with a focus on correctness, reliability, and performance
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and modern software development practices, including CI/CD and Docker
