Job Summary
Seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer with deep expertise in Go, this full-time remote position will design, build, and own critical Go-based services for PrizePicks' core platform, focusing on complex technical problems and mentoring team members.
Key responsibilities
- Design and build backend services, architecting Go-based microservices for performance and scalability
- Own technical delivery, leading the design and implementation of complex features from requirements to deployment
- Drive system reliability by diagnosing performance bottlenecks and optimizing database queries
Required qualifications
- 5-8 years of professional software engineering experience with significant Go services development
- Proven track record of delivering complex, multi-component features in a team environment
- Strong proficiency with PostgreSQL or similar relational databases
- Expert-level Go proficiency with a solid understanding of API design (REST, gRPC, or GraphQL)
- Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes)
