Senior Software Engineer
Job Summary
To enhance developer experience, the full-time Senior Software Engineer will implement Kafka-based change data capture solutions using Debezium, manage SQL database integrations, and contribute to the development of internal engineering platforms, all in a remote capacity.
Key responsibilities
- Design and operate Kafka/Debezium CDC patterns to capture and publish SQL database changes
- Build reusable workflows for event-streaming adoption and enhance the Backstage developer portal
- Support MuleSoft platform operations and maintain the engineering metrics platform
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of experience with Kafka and event-driven architectures
- 5+ years of experience with SQL databases and database design concepts
- Experience implementing or supporting Change Data Capture (CDC) solutions
- Strong collaboration skills to work across multiple IT teams
- Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred
