Senior Software Engineer
Job Summary
Joining an agile development team, the full-time hybrid Senior Software Engineer will maintain and create software applications for the Department of Energy, working primarily in Pittsburgh, PA or Morgantown, WV, with remote options available.
Key responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise web applications using .NET Core, ASP.NET Razor Pages, React, Entity Framework Core, and SQL Server
- Modify legacy applications to implement new requirements, enhancements, and defect fixes
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define and estimate user stories, participating in customer meetings and Scrum ceremonies
Required qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a directly related technical field
- 8+ years of work experience in IT or 6+ years with a Master's in a related field
- 4+ years of experience developing web applications
- 4+ years of experience working with relational databases such as Oracle or SQL Server
