Senior Software Engineer - Application Security

Job Summary

To enhance the security posture of products and operational environments, the remote Senior Software Engineer - Application Security will leverage hands-on AppSec and DevSecOps expertise, integrating security tooling in CI/CD pipelines and mentoring engineering teams on secure development practices.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineering teams on threat models and participate in design and architecture reviews to address application security, privacy, and compliance concerns
• Serve as the AppSec expert, mentoring engineers on application security principles and developing security patterns for compliance and privacy-by-default engineering
• Lead the automation and integration of vulnerability management tooling across development and build pipelines, while performing security-focused code reviews and triaging vulnerability results

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on software engineering experience with a focus on building and securing production systems
• Proficient in understanding software vulnerabilities across stacks and mitigating their impact
• Experience managing software supply chain security and secrets management practices
• Proficient in API security concepts and secure design principles
• Experience with modern CI/CD pipelines and application security testing tools
