Senior Software Engineer, AWS

Job Summary

To support the development of the Federal Platform layer in the GovCloud environment, the full-time Senior Software Engineer, AWS will lead the design and evolution of cloud infrastructure, focusing on compliance and operational excellence while mentoring a growing team.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the build-out of FedRAMP High cloud infrastructure, ensuring reliable AWS implementations for the GovCloud environment
• Design and maintain reusable Terraform modules and infrastructure patterns to enhance operational efficiency for FedOps engineers
• Drive architectural decisions across compute, networking, and service design, balancing compliance with operational simplicity

Required qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in public cloud environments with strong AWS expertise
• Proficient in Terraform, with experience building and debugging infrastructure as code modules
• Experience deploying and managing Kubernetes workloads in production settings
• Familiarity with compliance-constrained environments such as FedRAMP or SOC 2
• Ability to read and write scripts in Python, Go, or similar languages for infrastructure automation
