Senior Software Engineer - AWS Migration

Job Summary

Leading the modernization of enterprise data platforms, the contract Senior Software Engineer - AWS Migration will work remotely to design, develop, and maintain scalable software solutions while migrating Cloudera Hadoop environments to AWS.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement high-quality, scalable software solutions for enterprise applications
• Lead the migration of on-premises Cloudera Hadoop environments to AWS, creating migration strategies and cloud-native architectures
• Mentor engineering teams on software engineering and AWS best practices while ensuring security, governance, and compliance throughout the migration process

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
• 10+ years of software engineering experience with enterprise applications and Big Data platforms
• Strong experience with the Cloudera Hadoop ecosystem, including HDFS, Hive, and Spark
• Hands-on experience designing and implementing AWS Big Data solutions, including Amazon EMR and AWS Glue
• Proven experience migrating Hadoop workloads from on-premises environments to AWS
