Senior Software Engineer (CJIS Certified)

Job Summary

Focused on enhancing community safety, the full-time Senior Software Engineer (CJIS Certified) will lead frontend development for the Search team, utilizing React and TypeScript to create impactful features in a remote work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Champion frontend architecture and collaborate with backend engineers to develop seamless end-to-end features
• Engage in high-traffic production systems, ensuring quality and performance of the Search tool
• Participate in code reviews, customer calls, and lead discussions to elevate team knowledge and practices

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience with a focus on frontend technologies, particularly React and TypeScript
• Experience with data visualization libraries such as Mapbox or Google Maps API
• Familiarity with Node.js/Express and general API design principles
• Understanding of microservices and basic SQL (PostgreSQL or similar)
• Ability to obtain and maintain Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) certification
