Senior Software Engineer, Data Platforms

Job Summary

Functioning as a technical expert and lead engineer, the full-time Senior Software Engineer, Data Platforms will work remotely to build next-generation cloud-based data and analytics platforms, overseeing the development of large-scale data pipelines and applications while ensuring high-quality deliverables and adherence to technical standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of cloud-based data capabilities and products
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery and deployment
• Train and mentor team members while maintaining oversight of service provider deliverables

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a closely related field
• 8 years of progressively responsible hands-on experience in developing large-scale data pipelines and applications
• 4 years of experience with technical delivery of large-scale data applications
• 3 years of experience developing data applications on AWS
• Hands-on experience with Hive, Spark, and Snowflake
