Job Summary
To support innovative technology initiatives, the full-time Senior Software Engineer, Backend will design and build scalable systems and APIs for millions of users while working remotely from Canada.
Key responsibilities
- Design and develop high-performance services and applications in a cloud-native environment
- Collaborate with Product and Architecture teams to implement new ideas and ensure code quality through comprehensive testing
- Own the health and performance of services, responding to production incidents and participating in continuous improvement efforts
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or relevant experience
- At least 3 years of software development experience with object-oriented languages such as Java or C#
- Experience with relational databases and cloud environments like AWS, including microservices and containerization
- Proven ability to write and maintain automated test suites
- Experience tuning performance in large-scale distributed systems
