Job Summary

Seeking a full-time Senior Software Engineer II focused on backend development, this remote position will design, implement, and maintain high-volume data processing systems while contributing to the migration toward a scalable architecture.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, scale, and maintain backend systems for processing large volumes of data
• Work on event-driven and API-based integrations to enhance system functionality
• Collaborate with data science and engineering teams to solve technical challenges and optimize performance

Required qualifications

• 10+ years of backend software engineering experience with strong technical depth
• Proficiency in Java as a core language, with flexibility to switch from other languages such as Python or Scala
• Solid understanding of algorithms, data structures, and Big O notation
• Experience with heavy data processing tools and technologies like Spark, Kafka, and Delta Lake
• Familiarity with Docker, SQL, NoSQL databases, and REST APIs
