Senior Software Engineer II

Job Summary

As a key player in data engineering, the full-time Senior Software Engineer II will develop, optimize, and automate data pipelines while leading complex projects and mentoring other engineers in a remote setting.

Key responsibilities

• Designing, implementing, and maintaining reliable data solutions with a focus on automation using tools such as Airflow and dbt
• Managing a large portfolio of dbt models and advocating for test-driven development and continuous integration processes
• Monitoring and optimizing the performance of data pipelines, while architecting scalable solutions that align with business needs

Required qualifications

• Minimum 7+ years of experience in software development, particularly with Python, SQL, and data pipelines
• Expertise in building and automating ETL/ELT pipelines using Airflow and managing dbt models
• Deep experience with databases like PostgreSQL and BigQuery, including query optimization
• Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform, Kubernetes, and infrastructure as code using Terraform
• Strong command of agile methodologies, continuous integration, and test-driven development
