Senior Software Engineer, IN
Job Summary
As a foundational member of the Data Infrastructure team, the full-time Senior Software Engineer will remotely productionize the next generation of data technology by building software features that process ingested data, optimizing Apache Hudi's transactional engine, and deepening team expertise on database internals and query engines.
Key responsibilities
- Design and implement new concurrency control and transactional capabilities to maximize throughput for competing writers
- Collaborate with engineers to deploy optimized solutions in production and solve complex optimization problems for distributed data processing algorithms
- Accelerate the open-source enterprise flywheel by working on Apache Hudi's transactional engine tailored for diverse customer workloads
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of experience with distributed systems, algorithms, and relational databases
- Strong object-oriented design and coding skills in Java and/or C/C++ on UNIX or Linux platforms
- Ability to think abstractly and articulate technical challenges and solutions
- Experience in prioritizing feature development and technical debt with urgency
- Proficiency in solving complex programming and optimization problems
