Senior Software Engineer, Japan

Job Summary

Senior Software Engineer, Japan, is a full-time position responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable systems and services for the Japan market, while also mentoring teammates and ensuring operational reliability during regional business hours.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable brokerage systems and middle- and back-office services for the Japan market
• Collaborate with global teams and local stakeholders to align technical specifications with regulatory requirements
• Participate in on-call rotations and troubleshoot incidents to maintain system integrity and performance

Required Qualifications

• Native or JLPT N1 level fluency in Japanese and business-level English fluency
• Proven experience in designing and developing complex financial systems, particularly with accounting principles
• Experience in building high-availability financial applications handling multi-currency transactions
• Proficiency in at least one statically typed programming language (e.g., Go, Java, C#)
• Familiarity with regulatory compliance requirements in financial markets, preferably in Japan
