Senior Software Engineer, Linux

Job Summary

Driving automation and design for the Linux platform, the full-time Senior Software Engineer, Linux will lead initiatives in architecture, provisioning, and operations while enhancing scalability, reliability, and security across various environments, working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Leading Linux and cloud infrastructure initiatives, including architecture, provisioning, configuration, deployment, and ongoing operations
• Building automation using shell scripting, configuration management, and infrastructure-as-code tools
• Developing and maintaining automated workflows for Linux provisioning, patching, configuration, security hardening, and lifecycle management

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field or equivalent experience
• 8+ years of experience in Linux systems, infrastructure, platform, site reliability, or cloud engineering
• Deep hands-on experience administering, securing, and optimizing Linux environments
• Proven cloud architecture and engineering experience in AWS or Azure
• Strong shell scripting and automation skills, including experience with configuration management platforms such as Chef or Ansible
