Senior Software Engineer - PKI

Job Summary

Owning the end-to-end lifecycle of mission-critical cryptographic systems, the full-time remote Senior Software Engineer - PKI will design, build, deploy, and maintain high-assurance PKI APIs that support vehicle products and ecosystem features, while driving architecture and interfacing directly with customers.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the full lifecycle of PKI and Key Management API services, including requirements gathering, architecture design, implementation, and post-launch support
• Design and develop robust, secure, and scalable RESTful APIs and web services for various cryptographic features, ensuring compliance with access control methods
• Implement and harden PKI and key services, applying industry standards and cybersecurity algorithms to ensure system integrity and security

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a combination of education and experience
• 5+ years of software engineering experience with proficiency in secure coding practices using languages such as C#/C++, Java, or Python
• 3+ years of experience deploying and maintaining cloud infrastructure with Kubernetes or OpenShift
• Strong knowledge of PKI and Key Management best practices, including experience with production PKI systems
• Excellent understanding of cybersecurity algorithms and standards, including RSA, ECC, AES, and X.509
