Senior Software Engineering Manager

Job Summary

Leading the development of TradeStation's next-generation API platform, the full-time Senior Software Engineering Manager will own the technical strategy and execution, driving API-first design principles and enhancing the developer experience in a remote capacity.

Key responsibilities

• Own the technical roadmap for the API platform, collaborating with Product Management on strategy and prioritization
• Drive the adoption of gRPC as the internal service protocol and enforce API governance standards across the organization
• Manage and mentor technical teams, ensuring knowledge sharing and continuous improvement in development processes

Required qualifications

• BS in Computer Science or related technical discipline, or equivalent work experience
• 7+ years of relevant team management and leadership experience in high-performance environments
• Deep expertise in API design, architecture, and lifecycle management across multiple paradigms (REST, GraphQL, gRPC)
• Strong knowledge of cloud-native architectures, AWS, and Kubernetes
• Experience in the brokerage or financial services industry, particularly with trading APIs preferred
