Senior Software Engineering Manager

Job Summary

Leading a high-performing engineering squad, the full-time Senior Software Engineering Manager will ensure data reliability and oversee the development of complex datasets for clinical applications while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a small team of software engineers, conducting code reviews and fostering a culture of excellence in data quality
• Architect and implement a comprehensive testing suite within DBT, enforcing data quality gates in the CI/CD and ETL pipeline
• Perform deep data analysis and profiling using SQL and Python to evaluate completeness and resolve structural inconsistencies

Required qualifications

• Expertise in DBT, SQL, and Python within the modern data engineering stack
• Proven leadership experience managing or mentoring a small team in a fast-paced environment
• Hands-on experience with observability tools such as Elementary and Grafana
• Strong background in healthcare and next-generation sequencing (NGS) data
• Ability to perform data profiling and correlation analysis to address complex data integrity issues
