Senior Software Engineering Manager

Job Summary

Leading a team of engineers, the full-time Senior Software Engineering Manager will design and maintain scalable backend services and APIs, architect microservices solutions, and ensure production readiness while working remotely from anywhere in the U.S.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs using Java and Python
• Architect and implement event-driven/microservices solutions using Kafka
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product, QA, and stakeholders to deliver roadmap initiatives

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
• 15+ years of professional software engineering experience building backend systems in Java and/or Python
• Experience managing teams and leading technical design discussions
• Solid experience with databases and performance tuning
• Proven experience delivering AI-enabled solutions and hands-on expertise with Kafka in production
