Senior Software Engineering Manager

Job Summary

To lead a high-performing remote scrum team, the full-time Senior Software Engineering Manager will manage engineering operations, drive delivery practices, and contribute to the technical strategy in support of substance use disorder care delivery, prioritizing candidates in the Eastern time zone for effective collaboration.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a remote scrum team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement while managing individual development and performance
• Own end-to-end delivery of engineering commitments, establishing team delivery practices and monitoring quality metrics to ensure timely software releases
• Contribute to the engineering organization's strategic direction, defining standards for code quality and driving multi-team coordination and collaboration

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field; advanced degree preferred
• 5-7+ years of direct engineering management experience leading and scaling software delivery teams
• 7+ years of hands-on software engineering experience with a proven track record of delivering scalable solutions
• Experience managing remote engineering teams using Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence leadership and align cross-functional stakeholders
