Senior Software Engineering Manager
Job Summary
Leading a team of approximately 16 engineers, the full-time Senior Software Engineering Manager will set technical direction, manage AI-native development, and drive engineering excellence while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Lead AI-native development and manage four AI-focused pods, ensuring execution, delivery, quality, and velocity
- Shape architecture by participating in architecture reviews and driving scalable, reliable, and secure software solutions
- Mentor and develop engineering talent while fostering collaboration across engineering, product, and design teams
Required qualifications
- 10+ years of software engineering experience, including 5+ years managing engineering teams of 10+ engineers
- Strong hands-on experience with AI-native development and a track record of applying AI in engineering workflows and product features
- Experience managing cross-team dependencies and risks in a fast-paced, multi-pod environment
- Proficiency in Agile/Lean practices and tools like Jira and Confluence
- Deep knowledge of core technologies including React.js, Node.js, AWS, PostgreSQL, and containerization with Docker/Kubernetes
