Senior Software Test Engineer

Job Summary

Experienced in software testing, the full-time Senior Software Test Engineer will develop and execute test plans, conduct tests on IT systems, and document results while working remotely in support of Veterans Affairs.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, cases, and procedures to ensure compliance with organizational standards
• Lead testing efforts and perform verification activities on software and IT systems to ensure defect-free operation
• Document test results and support the resolution of issues while providing technical solutions to complex problems

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
• 10 or more years of experience in software testing and quality assurance
• Strong programming skills in languages such as C#, Java, or Python
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• Proficiency in test automation frameworks and tools, as well as CI/CD tools
