Senior Software Test Engineer

Job Summary

To support the Veterans Affairs department, the full-time Senior Software Test Engineer will develop and execute test plans, conduct software testing, and ensure high-quality deliverables in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and procedures to meet organizational standards
• Lead testing efforts for software and IT systems, ensuring proper operation and defect-free performance
• Document test results, analyze outcomes, and communicate findings to stakeholders for issue resolution

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
• 10 or more years of experience in software testing and quality assurance
• Strong programming skills in languages such as C#, Java, or Python
• Experience with both manual and automated testing, including proficiency in test automation frameworks
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
